About Us
Enterprise South East is a Community Economic Development Agency (CEDA) designed to give people and communities in the South East region a more active role in shaping their economic future. The communities we serve include the municipalities of Cap-Pelé, Dorchester, Memramcook, Port Elgin, Sackville, and Shediac, as well as surrounding Local Service Districts and Parishes which fall within the Tantramar and Beaubassin regions.

Our structure and mandate was the result of a cooperative federal, provincial, and municipal effort. Through the development of our structure, economic development activities and initiatives have shifted focus to become more community driven, i.e., communities will be empowered to generate economic growth by identifying and developing priority clusters in the region. This structure will allow stakeholders and economic development partners in the South East region to build on our region's strengths and assets.
Enterprise South East is one of fifteen Community Economic Development Agencies in New Brunswick. Together we form the Enterprise Network, which is designed to create prosperity in communities throughout the province.
As a CEDA, our primary roles are to:
- Provide leadership and partnership coordination in economic development
- Lead in the development and implementation of a three-year strategic plan for the region
- Ensure that the business community is fully engaged in the planning and development process
- Ensure community participation and government commitment in the planning and development process
- Integrate local, provincial, and federal priorities
- Support the development and growth of businesses and strategic clusters, which will lead to the creation of a more dynamic enterprise culture within the South East region
- Identify and coordinate job training and skills development activities, as well as other labour market development initiatives
