The manufacturing sector in the South East region is a major employer in our economy.  Our region is no different from others in Atlantic Canada: productivity needs to improve, new technologies have to be introduced into the operations and research and development should be encouraged.  Increased productivity, innovation, greater emphasis on exports and new markets as well as the development of infrastructures (technological and physical) are high on our list of priorities and on the manufacturers’ list of priorities.
