SEED Program — Student Entrepreneurship Component
The SEED Student Entrepreneurship program, which is offered by the provincial Dept. of Post-Secondary Education & Training, offers interest-free loans to students who wish to create summer employment and gain valuable business experience by operating their own business.
This program can provide interest-free loans of up to $3,000 to help students start a summer business that will create at least one full-time student summer job (minimum of 30 hours per week) and provide the applicant with a valuable business experience. If the loan has been repaid in full by October 15th, you may be reimbursed up to 1/3 of your loan, provided that all program regulations and requirements have been met.

Youth SEED Capital ConneXion Program
CBDC Westmorland Albert
The SEED Capital Connexion Program is the result of a partnership between ACOA and 41 Community Business Development Corporations (CBDC's) in Atlantic Canada. In the South East region, this program is administered by the CBDC Westmorland Albert.
The SEED Capital Connexion Program enables young entrepreneurs between the ages of 18 and 35 to borrow up to $20,000 for a business start-up, modernization, or expansion. This program also provides its clients with access to business counselling and training.
The loan is a repayable, unsecured personal loan, with low equity requirements and flexible interest and repayment terms. The loan may be used to cover business costs, such as the purchase of assets, start-up costs, and working capital. It cannot be used for refinancing existing debts, business restructuring, purchasing an existing business, nor purchasing motorized vehicles.
