“I enrolled in the Targeted Initiative for Older Workers 55+ program in hopes of finding employment.  My most memorable experience through the whole 9 weeks of the program was finding out and confirming who I really am and what skills I have to offer the workforce. 

What I also found was friendship with others in the same situation as myself and our determination to move forward.    We all had different skills that needed to be polished up on and the classroom instructor helped each and every one of us to accomplish that.

Skills like learning computer basics, presentations, confidence building and team work were among some of them.   The program coordinator is constantly working with us to find employment.  With all the support of the friends that I have made in this program along with our coordinator who continues to support and help us, we will have work in the near future.
